Anyone accepted and going?

Has anyone taken their online assessments yet?
The orientation pkg said my son will have to take algebra, trigonometry, calculus and chemistry assessment tests.

Be sure to take advantage of the practice tests, and get it done before your orientation date.

FYI.

My orientation stuff came today!

Is the Soar in 4 plan something that we have to plan out ahead of orientation? Or do we figure that out during the meeting with the advisors?

I want to say that you have to have it in mind you want to do it and tell your counselor when you get there

So we should come to orientatin with a list of classes?

O i dont think that they expect you to do that much. I really dont know I am just trying not to fail last semester of my senior year and then take those darn assessments

Is the oreintation really important??
I am an international student. so if I attend to the oreintation, it’s going to be a litle bit early for me to go there.
Can I just go between Aug. 20~ 22??

If I were you, I would get in touch with Iowa State. Orientation is when you create your schedule, so you would have to arrange another way to do that.

If any of you have any questions, just ask me since this fall I will be a junior in M.E. Just a thought

Yea perfect I am going to be PMing you a lot =)

Did anyone get that employment thing today in the mail? I also got a dining sign up from friley hall. Does that mean thats my dorm or is that just the main office building for meal plan stuff?

I got the employment thing today, but nothing about a dining sign-up. The main office for dining is in Friley, but Friley Hall students eat in Union Drive Center.
I cannot decide if I should sign-up for a dining center job or try to get one somewhere else.

is the ISU’s housing really more expensive than universal university??

yulin- what do you mean by universal university?

Here is a link to ISU housing rates for 09-10

They start to puthousing info on Access+ today. I am in Eaton.

Thanks for the scoop, mm99.
Son is in Willow.
Friley was his first choice though. I’m almost certain he signed his contract back in December.

yes, his housing contract was e-signed on Friday, December 12, 2008 6:59 PM.
I can’t believe Friley filled up that quick?

My first choise was friley to, but i got some crap dorm in helser. its in a perfect location but its got a brick wall and floor tile…whoopy

Friley has a lot of space reserved for learning communities and is a very popular choice. I signed in October and didn’t get my first choice.

ok, I feel better now.

Son has tile floor too in a high rise.
Also, wanted substance free. Oh well, hope this won’t be a problem.

thanks.
