Anyone Accepted with Cs and Ds?

I'll be the first to admit I do not have a stellar GPA. 3.41 UW and 3.78 W.

The root of this GPA lies within some very poor math class decisions. I was clearly not meant for accelerated math courses. But past is past and now all I can do is work with what I've got.

My question is if anyone has gotten into UGA with Cs and Ds? I would feel an awful lot less lonely if there is someone out there! As a 3 Cs and one D applicant, I still hang on to the sliver of hope that is a UGA acceptance letter this March, fireworks and all. My lifelines right now are decent (UGA average) SAT/ACT scores and 10 AP classes (All As and Bs).

Since GPA is the most heavily weighted aspect naturally a GPA .3 below their middle 50 would be cause of concern. But, I haven't seen pigs fly yet so there is definitely a chance.

UGA is most definitely my top choice and like most under the UGA thread would agree, a pretty awesome choice.

Thanks for any responses and Go Dawgs!

I had 2 C’s in math, but my UGA GPA is 3.45. You’re good on rigor, which is a close second to GPA on weight of admission. Your test scores are good. I’d give you a 75% of getting in. You and I are on the same boat - good luck to you!

I got one C and one D (3.5 GPA) and 2100 sat. Got in early, so don’t worry

@jtshe2 Math is a killer for all! But hoping my slight upward trend is a good sign

@manisha926 Congrats on the early acceptance! Even though your SAT score is amazing, I’m glad to see a person with C/D get accepted!
