Anyone alive?

I was accepted early action to the school of education and rehab psychology...I'm looking to go into special education, and I've heard great things about their program....vermont was originally just a safety, but i think it's a great size for a public university, and the town is supposed to be gorgeous.

....anyone else looking to go into education? If so, what other schools/programs have you looked at...I had some trouble throughout the college process in distinguishing one program from the next- I didn't want to just go by Newsweek's rankings.

i got in as a german major!

I got in as an animal Science major.

wow interesting majors!!!!!!

Are you guys in as RD ?

I was early action. Applied very early and heard Dec 15.

-same here

How long after applying did you wait to get the card with the ID# to check your status online?

I can't remember, but try calling the admissions office and asking if you can check the status of your application online, or if they can just do it for you- I remember losing my username and password because they gave me a really long one, and they told me over the phone that the decision would be posted online at 5:00pm that day

I got in today. Molecular Genetics majors? Sorry i didnt look throught the whole thread. I'm just too lazy.

i'm out-of-state and was deferred early action. i don't understand why though--i had a 660 M and a 660V and a 28ACT, great recs, and some good ECs with leadership. anyone else in the same boat?

wow...thats quite odd.

i thought it was weird too, and i wasn't really using it as my safety, i actually wanted to go there. maybe march 10 will be a better news day.

I woudl recommend sending them extra materials suggesting to them, or flat out telling them, that you actualyl want to go to UVM; if it's your first choice, tell them that.

best of luck!

=)

Just to tell you an article in the uvm student paper last week said that they are still processing many of the early action and regular admissions applications. They've recieved over 17,000 applications which is more than they recieved last year in my application class. The article also said that they wanted to increase enrollment to 10,000 over the next ten years. Right now there is a ton of construction going on all around campus but who knows when they're going to be done. Being up here is awesome and I say you should all condsider it.

thanks for posting that, i went to the website and read the full article. 17,000+ applications--that's wild.

i got in as well, as many have said it was a saftey for me. the only thing i didnt like was that it's really cold. I'm looking for a warmer climate (compared to mass.) but who knows.

Have any of you ever heard of Green Mountain College in Poultney. I am up for their Make a Differnce Scholarship which is a full ride, but I never met anyone who went ther and i owuld love to hear from someone who knows somthing about this school --it never comes up on the best schools list.

I don't think quinnipiac is that competitive

I got $20,000 in scholarships and an additional $16,000 in loans. Pretty good.
