I have no idea what the stats are, but my school is pretty diverse.

My school is not diverse at all. We're all Christian (it's a Catholic school but we have a couple non-Catholic Christians).
We have one black person, two hispanic people, and five asians. The black person is graduating this yearalong with one of the hispanic people and four of the asians. Next year the school will be 99.2% white if they don't like recruit some minorities (which I doubt they will seeing as bringing up the words 'affirmative action' at my school makes people foam at the mouth)

My school has more black students than white but it's not like black students take over. Maybe we have 5% more black students...

I am black but at the same time, I'm a minority.
I'm a smart black student, a black student in I.B, a black I.B. student that's doing WELL in I.B., an atheist, and a lesbian.
I'd say I'm pretty much a minority in my school.

The school I'm supposed to go to is 98% black, and 2% other (I'm not going to get into the decimals, lol) Our county is about 70% black (i think). The reason for this is that most of the non-blacks are smart/not caught up with trying to be gangster (this is one of the most affluent african-american counties in the US, yet people are more obsessed with hiding wealth and intellegence than using them).

So the school I currently go to (still public, still in this same county) is 57% black, 30% white, and 13% other (mostly asians, with some hispanics). And a good amount of those blacks only can go to our school because they live in the area. So if you eliminated all of those not in special programs, there would be more whites and asians than blacks. Isn't that terrible?

sometimes, i forget im not black

:)

<< am indian but also speak spanish fluently.

I'm probably a little late with this post but my school is amazingly diverse:
White 38.1%
Hispanic 27.1%
African-American 30.7%
Asian -1.6%
Indian -0.3%
Multi-racial -2.2%

Its a public high school in South Florida :) I have had so many leadership positions within my school so I stressed in my essay dealing with all the different people within my school. A total of 40 different languages are spoken at my school.

My school is about 60% Hispanic, 30% Black and then 8% Asian(Mostly Bengali), 2% other. I am Caucasian. I only know of 2 other Caucasian students in the whole school :D

I'm white.
which makes me a minority at my school.
we get bused in, haha. seriously.

Is that like, constitutional? :D

I remember reading what that was called in government last week but my memory is shot.

our school is pretty much equal in the 4 races: white, black, yellow, and brown
We were featured in Newsweek a couple of years ago for our diversity

I'm one of a very small minority of asians at my school who hate science.

I'm Republican which makes me a minority at my school- does that count? :-)

I was a minority in hs because I was one of the 9 people in my class of 650 doing full french immersion IB. :)

white kids are the miniority at my school too its like 85% hispanic and then the few white kids lol...no other race is at our school

My school is pretty much equal in its Caucasian and Black students. The third most prevalent ethnicity would be Hispanics, which is my ethnicity. Minorities would probably be Asians. However, my school is extremely diverse.

just so you guys know...judaism is a religion but there are races of jews just like there are races of muslims (turks, kurds, etc.). look up ashkenazi and sephardi if you wanna know more

oh, and Judaism is kind've an ethnicity because they descend from the 12 tribes... (examples Israel, Levy, Cohen)

Yeah, Andrassy, those aren't the only two. And I'm not sure I'd call them races, they're more...sects.

I really hate it when people disregard the Mizrahi, because my family has roots in that. I guess that makes me an uber minority, though, because I'm the only Jew at my school who's not straight up Ashkenazi

We have 1 black kid and maybe like 20 other minorities...surprising in a New Jersey public school.

My school's breakdown is like:

20% Asian
5% African-American
40% Hispanic
35% White
