Any word from Parsons/Lang for dual major applicants? We’ve heard nothing so far. Arghh. This is torture.

Definitely. It seems that the dual major applicants are the ones without knowing absolutely anything. =[

Regarding the dual major - I just spoke to an actual counselor who told me that a decision was just made on my D TODAY but we won’t get the decision for TWO MORE WEEKS. After such a torturous week, how are we supposed to “sit tight”, as she advised, for another two weeks??? She couldn’t tell me the decision by phone, but told me it will arrive by snail mail. I asked her that considering her application was complete by the beginning of January and we still hadn’t heard anything, is that a bad sign. She laughed and said not at all, just sit tight. Not sure how to interpret that. Anyone else hear anything?

Dual majors aren’t the only ones… we’re all in the same boat.

blinky314,

In other words, decisions for Parsons are out already? I applied for transfer admission to the Design and Management Program for fall 09.

Coolant,
No, they’re still coming. I saw that an applicant on another forum just got accepted to the dual major yesterday - first dual acceptance I’ve heard about. So, I guess we just have to “sit tight”. Sucks, though.

For the record, I’m also a transfer student (CDT)… my file was complete on 20 February.

My D got the acceptance letter last Thursday, but a good friend who’s a double-major applicant and a shoe-in hasn’t heard yet. Now I’m just wondering whether it’s worth all the money–so far, no offer of aid or scholarship.

I got my acceptance letter TODAY for the dual degree with Eugene Lang !! (Communication Design - Culture & Media). Good luck to everyone else ! =] Contact me anytime at stepha411■■■■■■■■■■■■ !

That’s wonderful news, kindafrustrated! Congratulations! Finally, the dual degree letters are trickling in. I’ve heard of about 4 so far. Do you have any idea when they made the decision on you? Since D’s decision was made last Thursday, I’m hoping we don’t really have to wait 2 weeks for the news.

Hey, i got an acceptance letter from eugene lang today. im absolutely delighted… im not sure if lang is the same as parson but according to the letter i got accepted students day is 19th or April. I received an email last thursday notifying me that i had been accepted.
Good luck to anyone who is yet to hear.

I called today and they told me that my file is “up for review”. Another few weeks for a decision to be released! Arrrr… this wait is devastating!

I didn
t apply for dual and Parsons is the only one I haven
t heard from yet! Ugh, but it’s probably because my CD wouldn`t open and I had to re-send. :X

Well, the decision was apparently sent on April 3, but I received it yesterday - April 6 (I live in Puerto Rico). So you should all expect something soon too ! Good luck to everyone! Keep me updated ;)

Interesting. My D’s decision was also sent 4/3 and we haven’t gotten it. And we live about 40 miles from Parsons…

Well, that stinks it’s weird. I hope you get it soon. Maybe call?

Accepted into Parsons/Lang for photography/liberal arts!!!
KindaFrustrated - I talked to a counselor at Parsons yesterday who said he could give D her decision over the phone since it was already mailed. She tried repeatedly and left messages yesterday and this morning, but no response. So we tried at Lang and got the good news.
Best of luck to all others waiting for decisions and wherever you go, I hope your college days are great!

Allright, Blinky - awesome ! Wohoo ! NYC, baby !

I called Parsons today and they told me that a decision has been made on my application! However, he won’t tell my my decision over the phone! However, when I tried the My New School Portal, I can find my NET ID. Does that mean anything?

He told me that they will fedex my letter.

I called and spoke to a counselor and was notified that I was ADMITTED for FALL 2009! NYC see you in a few months! =)
