I filled and sent my online app out yesterday. Still will be a couple week before my transcript gets out though. Is anyone else an early bird?

I too have filled out the online portion but have not submitted it yet, as I wanted to make sure I am actually doing what I said I was doing my senior year first ie: fall sports teams.

D completed the app over the weekend but like vikignplyr didn’t submit it yet. Waiting to make sure she gets the leadership position in an activity she put on the application, and waiting to get details about an internship she will have this fall. So exciting to have it “done” though, excited to press the Submit button. Didn’t realize no essay or even short-answer questions were required - so easy! Lots of luck to you. And so it begins…

Do not forget to fill out the top half of this sheet while your counselor completes the bottom.

Can that be done electronically? Also does Indiana require recommendations (obviously have not started yet)?

Just got my acceptance email. I feel like it is missing a lot of info I would like to know such as what scholarships I qualified for, if I am a DA to Kelley, what my total cost will be, ect.

You will receive a letter in the mail that has details on scholarships. Kelley sends DA out separately from admissions. True total cost can’t be determined yet as tuition for Fall of 2013 will not be set until next summer. If you qualify for automatic scholarships you should know this already. Selective scholarships are not determined until Feb/March of 2013.

@Ivygolfer when did you end up send out your transcripts? Im anxiously waiting at this point.

@rrah thanks for the info!
@vikingplyr All my stuff arrived at IU August 10th I believe, so it looks like they are on a 4 week cycle as of now.

Updates:
- I received my IU Acceptance letter in the mail on Thursday, included was my 44K scholarship info
- I received an email notifying me of my Direct Admit status to Kelley on Monday.
- Submitted my SSA application yesterday.

Where do you find the status of your application on OneStart? My documentation was mailed on 8-31-12.

Hi,

What does DA mean? I submitted my application on 9/15/12. How long will it take to receive the One Start Account and then finally an acceptance? How long did it take after acceptance into IU to receive notification of Kelley? Also, when do they tell you about scholarships?

Thanks

DA is a direct admit. Your One Start account should be set up by now. It seems to be taking 3-4 weeks at this time. Read the above replies for the other answers. They are right there.

Also have not gotten the One Start although did receive an acknowledgement yesterday (submitted a little over a week ago). Do they send that to you directly?

I was told by the school that we will receive it within approx. 7 days from receipt.

I read online that Kelley accepts everyone with a 3.7 and a 1270 SAT for DA? Is that true?

Also, does Kelley accept people for Sophomore year out of High School (following year)?

Thanks

Applied to IU a few weeks ago and just received this email from Office of Scholarships. Did anyone else get this email? Does it mean anything regarding admissions or just a standard email sent to all?

My daughter received that email, followed by a postcard a few days later. I doubt it means anything regarding admissions because my daughter’s application is not yet complete (transcript is pending), but I also assume it means you have a very good chance of being admitted, since it was addressed to “high achieving students”. I assume they send it based on the info they already have - test scores, transcripts, etc. She hopes to go, but the fact that the Big 10 doesn’t schedule game times in advance makes it difficult to plan a trip to Bloomington without knowing what time she needs to be there and leave…

According to the high school transcripts were sent electronically over 2 weeks ago. One start says they haven’t received them yet. How long is that process?

CCMEEM and others as this is a common question about transcripts showing up on OneStart.

The length of the process can vary. In my experience with D and S, just because the transcripts don’t show up on OneStart does not mean Admissions doesn’t have them. I think they are sent to Admissions. I don’t know if Admissions puts them into OneStart or sends them along to another department. Either way, Admissions some times makes decisions before the transcripts show up in OneStart.

My S received his admission email before One Start showed that his transcripts were received. I think it showed up a day or two later.

The same principle applies for Test Scores. My D received her admission email before One Start showed her test scores.

How soon things appear in OneStart varies depending upon the number of applicants at any given time. How long an admissions decision takes also varies for the same reasons.

If it’s a month or more, than I would call.
