Hi everyone! I had a few questions about early decision II. has anyone who applied EDII received their pin number with which to check the status of their application yet?? If what I've heard about when we hear back is correct, there is only about three weeks till we find out. In which case, if Smith hasn't received any of my information, it seems it will be too late! i called the admissions office last week but they told me they just have far too many applications to check the status of mine over the phone and I'd just have to wait until I got a pin number... Not totally sure what to do! Any advice would be appreciated!

On another note, is anyone else applying EDII?? Can't wait to find out :). Am I correct that we're supposed to hear back the first week of February?

My daughter applied ED II and received her pin number last week. When logged onto Bannerweb,it shows the status of her application materials. I think they said they will respond no later than Feb 2. I hope this helps. She received it on 1/8 by email.

I believe these go out by mail (?) so if you don’t live in the US it may take a while for it to arrive. At any rate, I wouldn’t panic if you haven’t gotten yours yet (remember that Monday was a federal US holiday, so no mail was being sent).

Thanks for the information! I called admissions today and they said decision letters would be mailed on Friday, January 22nd. But, I still have not received my pin number!! I have called multiple times but have only gotten the response of “you just have to wait until it’s mailed to you” or, “we haven’t mailed the pin numbers out yet”. Which seems strange. I suppose I’ll call again tomorrow? This whole thing is so stressfullllllllll =/.

Don’t keep calling. You will get your pin number when you get it and in the meantime they can’t really check to see because they are so swamped with applications for RD. If you keep calling you’re just going to stress yourself out and annoy the receptionist.

I know it’s hard, but you just have to be patient.

sdangelo, I’m an ED II applicant too I’m living outside the US so I sent the Admissions Office an email about two weeks ago. They were very nice and sent me my Pin number two days after that. I think you should email and ask them, although I’m afraid it’s a bit too late now because the decision will be sent out soon (we just have to wait a day more if I’m correct) Anyway, good luck with your application. I’m waiting for the result and it scares me :))
