anyone applying this fall?

so is anyone applying ED/RD to williams this fall? how are you preparing?

I'm already in at Williams, but I'm deferring my admission from Class of 2009 to 2010. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask, and I'll try to answer to the best of my knowledge!

why defer? just curious...
also, if i'm class of 2010 and graduate in 5 years, then will i be class of 2011?

You are usually given the choice to identify with the class you entered with or the class you graduated with, but sometimes you have to make it clear to the alumni office which one you prefer. My H. started a year ahead of me, took a year off, and graduated my year. But his friends were from his first couple of years, so he has retained his original class identity, for whatever that's worth! I notice that both classes like to get their hands on our alumni giving and "split" the gifts for class credit so both can count them as "participation" gifts!!! The games they play . . .

i'm intl and have to serve compulsory military service, which is why i deferred admission for a year. it's a pain in the as5... but is obviously necessary in the larger picture.

okie..
so i guess nobody's applying?...

here - aiming for williams ED for now. took SAT yesterday but I don't think I did quite well ;;

where do you live?
took SAT yesterday? i didn't know they had friday SAT's..
good luck. i'm also looking into williams ED. it's hard to decide where to apply early.

hey! i'll be applying, but i don't know about ED. it's definitely hard to decide where to apply early.

anyone else out there?

I'm prospective, and visiting rather soon.

I would like to apply early to Williams, but my heart goes more to Yale

anyone going to open house day?
i don't know if it's ok to grab random students and ask them questions...

i'm applying RD this fall.

I'm applying RD to Williams; I think they have awesome economics and math departments. Btw, I'm probably applying to Wharton ED

Just curious SixSIxty....compulsory military service...what country???
HB

Singapore:)

hi sixsixty,

I noticed that there is a school called "Raffles Junior College" in Singapore. It sends MANY graduates to the top colleges in US. Did you graduate from it? Do you happen to know how many students it has every year?

http://www.rjc.edu.sg/usapps/colleges/rjc.htm

TIA.

I qualified for, but chose not to attend Raffles as it was pretty far from where I live. I attended Victoria, which along with Raffles and another school, is generally considered to be in the top tier of Singaporean education.

As for the number of students it has per class, my guess would be 800 to 900....

Hope this helps! Where are you from btw?:)

Thanks for your info!
