anyone applying to the VCU guaranteed admission program?

^Yes, sir… i got accepted to VCU quite a few weeks back, and got the honors college acceptance… eh, about 2.5 weeks ago?

i’m in the same situation as bsmd11

I do not believe VCU has started the med interviews yet. I may be wrong. Do not get spooked by someone who says that they have got the interview notice.

I applied too. What were your states (people who applied in 2010)?

my stats were pretty low, but im hoping i’m one of those lucky ones that get in every now and then.

I also applied for GtdAdmiss. After reading the first few pages of this thread it seems that everyone received a letter of either rejection or next step interview by the 13 or 14th of Jan (2008, 2009 & 2010). Interviews will begin at the end of Jan and go to the end of Feb. It seems that all who had interviews received their answer around the second and third week of March.

damn. thanks man. that answers two of my major questions. lol

YUPYUP Got admitted into Honors College + VCU. I didn’t get an acceptance letter and then like a week ago I got a mass packet, I was sweating it for a bit.

Let’s do a countdown!

Our e-mails are a potential 7-8 days away :)

how do you know if it’s 7-8 days away?

ilovelost, most applicants from years past have heard on the 12th,13th, or 14th.

I’ve pretty much come to terms with the fact that I have little to no chances :/

Well anyways 6-7 Days Left :)

haha at the babashah kid. the person inboxes me, i write on this post, leave to do school work, and he/she tells me i’m a swindler. I apologize for not being able to answer your question right away. fyi, I came back and responded to the PM you sent me. so relax.

thispakistanigir, i see. what are your stats? if we’re above a 32, it’s all luck from there i think.

is virginia a good place to live?

Virginia is an awesome place to live. Richmond is a 2 hour drive from DC, so you could easily spend weekends there and the DC night life is just amazing. There’s literally something to do every single day.

Aside from the political aspect, it’s just a community filled with people who are activists about a certain cause within the world, making it a great place to get your ambitions in action.

I live in a DC suburb and have been a NOVA kid my entire life. The weather is sometimes unperdictable but the autumn is just heaven. SO beautiful.

VA Beach is very close to VCU and it’s an awesome place to go during Spring Break. Crowded…yes! But awesome nonetheless!!!

If you have any questions about VA in general I can answer them :)

Oh and…
VIRGINIA IS FOR LOVERS <3

hey i got in yesterday to VCU themselves but on my sheet for the decision it still says pending and havent recieved an email yet for an interview, im not sure how i kno if im rejected from their program or not yet. ughhh its frustrating, and im being impatient lol.

wait @ “thispakistanigir” did you get accepted into VCU in general or did you get accepted into the GTD med program? oh and on your acceptance is it supposed to say you got accepted into the honors college too, i’m confused, can you please explain:) thank you so much.

Medi, and others let me try to clear up some confusion.

I have been accepted into VCU’s Biomedical Engineering Program. I am waiting on an acceptance to their Honors College (Which everyone has to recieve before their GMED interview…or atleast if you live in VA)

Most of my friends who submitted 2+ weeks before me have recieved theres in the last week. I will post here when I recieve mine. Good luck to everyone and please ask if you have any questions :)

I applied to VCU undergrad and the guaranteed medical program in the first week of November and I was admitted to the undergraduate program as well as the honors program and was notified by mid-December for those. I’m still waiting on my rejection of interview, or hopefully an offer of interview, from them…I saw from past college confidential students that they are notified by email. I’ve been checking my email 3 times a day lol, I’m getting impatient (like medigirl74 said) haha, please post here if you were already notified about an interview =)

Guys, they started sending emails!

Got an offer to interview for the GMED program today at around 4:30. There’s a list of dates for interviews ranging from late January to Late February. You rank the dates, according to your most desirable date to least desirable. So excited!

Yes it is correct they started to send emails.

Rejected.

ACCEPTED. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSs.

Rejected. D:
Butttt GOOD JOB TO THOSE WHO GET ACCEPTED. <3
