I am going on a carnival cruise as a graduation gift. However carnival's teen activites stop at age 17. I am wondering if they will allow me to participate in the activities for 15-17.

Does anyone have an experience with this?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they'll let you if you really want to, but there's so much to do on cruises that I wouldn't really bother. I went to the teen activities once on Norwegian and they were pretty lame. It was like 5 kids in a room with a disco ball. Not really that much fun. I think 18 is international drinking age if you're into that and the cruises usually have lots of other activities too. There's shows at night, fantastic food, and beautiful sights. You'll probably spend a lot of time touring the port cities during the days too.

^^^I have to agree. There is a lot to do. I went to the adult comedy shows (18+) ;) Some shows were okay, some weren't. Still, you'll always find something to do.

carnival kind of shortchanges 18 year olds, i dont think they allow them in on 15-17 teen activities.
hopefully you'll find something fun to do.
you going with other people your age? there'd be no problem in that case.

i went on a cruise. i was on a royal caribbean and they did not allow anyone over the age of 18 participate in the 15-17 activities. but like everyone said, the teen activities were pretty lame. you should just do the adult stuff (which is like 90 times cooler). plus, everything is more fun when you are drunk/drinking (as long as it is in moderation), so on royal caribbean, they allowed the 18 yr. olds to drink beer...

No, I've got no experience with this.

I've been on several Royal Carribean cruises and to tell you the truth those teen parties aren't that great.so you're really not missing much.Believe me, you'll find much more fun and exciting things to do.

Mmmm, I went on Royal Carribean a coupld dozen times, and the Princess once, and every cruise I go on, the teen activities are beyond lame.
But if you're 18 and go into international waters, you can drink haha.

After nine cruises, the teen activities have been the same as always-lame as hell. Besides, the only good thing to do on a cruise is tan, eat a lot, and get plastered (none of which I have ever done).

I've gone on Princess a couple of times and the teen activities are beyond boring, unless you bring a few friends with you on the cruise. It's mostly a giggling group of 13 year olds and a couple video gamers.

We went on a Celebrity cruise to Bermuda on the "Zenith" and a Carnival cruise to Halifax and Nova Scotia.

I went on a carnival cruise, the "Imagination"
It was probably the worst week in my life, I swear every fat, drunk, chain smoking person in America must have been on that cruise. There were people 300+ lbs in string bikinis walking around with no shame. The food was greasy, the pools crowded with screaming babies and college frat boys, there were at least 8 ppl in each 4 person hot tub, and
OH, not to mention I was stalked by this random man who was like "Hey baby" and followed me around, I've never been so creeped out in my life

I don't know about the rest of the posts, but being stuck on a boat with 250+ people looking for cheap food and a tan is not my idea of a dream vacation
...just putting my 2 cents worth in

Oh yeah, the cruise boat almost left my mom in jamaica

u 18? some cruises have escort services available. if u dont take advantrage of those, yu in for one longgg borring ride with 500 fat middle aged crazies

I can't stay on the ship too long or I'll go crazy...so I do offshore excursions. Those were always fun.
