I am waiting to see the dates available, but would like to hear information from past students or parents with students that have attended the admitted visit day.
What were the highlights?
What areas do you suggest I make sure to visit when in Raleigh and NC State Campus?
The admitted students day is a worthwhile trip. Both of my sons got more out of it than from open house. The overall tone shifts from “NC State is great!! Apply today!” that labors on application process and stats for the average freshman student to a more focused approach of presenting in more detail what life and academics at NC state will be.
As for places to visit, I would not really focus on Raleigh. Sure, it has its highlights, but overall it’s your basic large metro area that has plenty to offer. Focus on campus and the immediate area. A walk down Hillsborough Street is worth your time, as well as through Cameron Village (shopping center just north of campus) - those two areas you have ready access to on foot or bus.
