I am a transfer student from a community college in So. Cal and i want to (ideally) be a clinical therapist (working in private practice ,but i know that life happens and people change..) but I'm extremely confused about what it would take to get there and which schools would be good for undergrad with a not so great GPA. I'm applying to

UC Santa Barbara
UC Irvine
UC Santa Cruz
USC
Pepperdine
Chapman
U of Portland
Pacific University (Oregon)
U Washington

for Fall 2012 and my GPA will probably be no greater than a 3.5 (i'm at a 3.0 because of an accidental F on my transcript from a class i forgot to drop but i'm re-taking it now so it'll be much higher than a 3.0 i hope..)

I'm looking for a school with lots of opportunities of internships and a place to dip my toes so to speak in more areas of Psych with a good name. I want my Psy. D eventually because i do NOT wish to go into research but as it is a ways away i just want to focus on a school that is good and reasonable for me to get in.

Any advice? It will be much much appreciated.
