I'm 90% sure.. I'm waiting for their finaid letter to come to make up my mind. Hopefully it won't be too terrible lol Then i'll be heading to Boston :p

I'm Jay btw. I thought it'll be a good idea to.. idk get to know ppl who'll be JMU 09' before we actually get there :D

Depends on where you live....the Quad is a great location, but rooms are smaller. The lakeside area is a collection of hall style/high rise dorms. The Village is a suite based set up....thats where I lived. ISAT area dorms are brand new and like hotels, but you are far away from the rest of campus.

All places have their drawbacks and benefits, but none of them are really better than the other

Business program is very strong, and very underrated. Employers love it. I am QFIN major and will sonn be moving to NYC to work for a major firm.

Party scene is very large and very fun. Playboy put JMU on its top 25 part school list

i will be going too. i heard people travel to other schools for parties(jmu to tech or tech to jmu), also what dorms have the air condition in them

My son has decided on JMU over Va. Tech. We went to admitted students day last week and that was the clincher. He is very interested in the ISAT program and it just so happened they were doing senior thesis presentations that day. i think he's made a good choice.

for freshman... i know for sure that hillside, mcgraw-long, bell, chesapeake, and potomac halls are air-conditioned.. there may be more that have slipped my mind

i lived in the village freshman year, but for some reason i lucked out and had an air-conditioning unit already in the room. the village doesn't have AC, but it's definitely not as bad as those who havent lived in the village make it seem, lol.
