Anyone know about the scholarship process?

My d just heard about one, without applying. For need-based aid, UVM requires only the FAFSA, which won't be available until January.

I received my scholarship information yesterday. I received $8,000 in merit aid, I probably would have gotten more if I sent them my new SAT scores which were 90 points higher than my last ones.

Accepted with VIP Application.

congratulations djdjdj28! is that for all 4 yrs or each year?

So it took a month between acceptance and scholarship info?

My D just got her acceptance in the mail today.
For those who have received scholarship info, was it in the acceptance packet, or did it come later?

My d got her scholarship info in a separate mailing.

@djdjdj28:

What were your scores that got you the $8000?

Is that per year or over 4 years?

I got my scholarship letter a few days ago. 12000 over 4 years. I guess I didn't get much because I am out-of-state.

Oh I'm sorry it took me so long to respond. I haven't checked this forum in a while. I got $8,000 a year.

Are you in-state or out-of-state?

Out of state. I also got this after they got my new SAT scores which were 1890. I forgot I sent them.

my son just got $8000, but over 4 years. 3.75 gpa, 1850 sat's, 27 act
great recs & ecs.
not really enough $.

just got in. took long enough. im excited though.

does anyone know if there is any negotiation on scholarship $?

so i got deffered to regular admissions today. a little uncertain of my chances now, but am hoping that i can pull through. can anyone help me with additional things to send to them? also what are my chances in the regular admissions? p.s. you can see my stats in the "Chances?" thread in UVM forum here.

accepted!

haven't received acceptance in the mail yet tho..
found out online.

how did you get 8000 a year with an 1890?

I have 2200+ and only got 2000 a year. unexpected

Oh my god i am so sorry, I checked the paper again and I read it wrong, I thought it meant 8000 a year, and after I went back and reread it I saw that it was 8000 over 4 years. I am sorry if that caused any confusion. I feel like an idiot for reading it wrong the first time.
