I only received an email, will i get a letter soon?

Yes, I noticed I had been accepted online and then received a letter 2 or 3 days later. This was several weeks ago. I got a scholarship letter about 5 days after receiving the acceptance letter, 3k/year :-. I used the common app and applied in late December.

1970 SAT
90.80 unweighted GPA
116 weighted
school does not use 4.00 scale or give individual rank

To those of you who noted the small dent in the near 30k a year tuition that the presidential scholarship makes, you never know what they will wind up giving you in terms of financial aid, assuming you apply. Never know, could be surprised.

For out of state students? BTW, COA is more like a whopping 36,000/year for the OOS student.

D is accepted!!!!!!!!!!

I got in!
2080 SAT
in-state
most likely won't end up going

accepteddddd

Congrats to you all.

my brother just got accepted

1860 SAT

Around a B average lots of AP's though!!!

Just got accepted yesterday (checked online). Hope to get my acceptance packet soon..but after reading these posts I don't know If I will be going. Seems expensive for out of staters...and I got into UCONN anyway.

i got in EA, but i just got my presidential scholarship award in the mail :)

i got into UVM

suzanne, i also got the presidential. was yours only 4k?

I'm 100% going!

Have any of you gotten a financial aid package (either via mail or on-line) yet? My son got in EA with a presidential merit but hasn't gotten his fin aid package yet. They did verify us back in February and had one further communication so I know they have everything. The website says mid-late March--well April 1 is on Sunday so I am hoping he'll hear soon so he can see whether UVM is a realistic option or not.

Same here..I had to be verified as well, and sent my verification in on Feb 15th. All it says beside my stuff is "recieved and ready to review" so who knows how long it's going to take...

That is what it says on my son's too. Hopefully next week....

We got our package on Tuesday... I'm in NY.

isitseptmeberyet, do they make it possible for OOS middle class students to attend? In other words, was the package fair, or was it way too heavy on loans, and/or leaving a big gap between cost and efc?

Northeastmom, are you still waiting too? I am going to try to get through by phone on Monday and see when they will let us know. My son got an EXCELLENT package from Stonehill College today which included merit, grant and very small loan/work. (He was accepted EA at UVM in the fall with a merit and filed FAFSA on Jan 4.)

Summerbreeze, Actually no, my son is not ready to apply yet. We are just in the beginning of our college search for S #2. I am trying to ascertain whether it pays to apply here as an OOS student. It seems like most merit awards are in the 1-3,000 range. I am trying to figure out whether they award additional grants to OOS students to meet financial need, or whether that money is earmarked mainly for instate students. If OOS students don't receive more than 3,000, regardless of EFC, my S won't bother to apply. If the school makes itself financially possible for a middle class kid to attend, then we will visit. I don't want our family to waste time and money, if S could not afford this school. Congratulations on Stonehill, and good luck with UVM! I would appreciate any info that you could share regarding financial aid for OOS students (if you are OOS for UVM).
