Anyone else at Clark Kerr???

Surprisingly, i was housed in a triple at Clark Kerr ( not any of my choices)
I really dont know anything about Kerr except that its pretty far from campus and its supposed to have good food.

I was wondering if it is somewhat isolated from the general Berkeley campus?

Has anyone else been housed at Kerr, or has lived there?

It's a bit far, but there's a bus that goes up and down, or you could make the 10 minute walk. Clark Kerr has more upperclassmen and is roomier. With a triple, you're probably going to have the same amount of room as someone in a Unit double. It's not high rise like the Units, it looks more like a retirement home.

Clark Kerr is more Stanfordish. It's brighter and roomier than the units. Its got its own pool, softball field, track, gym, bq areas, tennis courts, and volley ball sands. I was there the other day and I was pretty impressed. It's not that far and the rooms are substainally larger. It has a very relaxing atmosphere. ( I got a triple too...)

I'm in clark kerr. I'm rather distressed to hear that it's mostly upperclassmen, but there seem to be enough people on these group things that ended up there, so maybe that's not too true.

I can't wait even though I didn't put it as any of my choices either.

its not more upperclassmen ... especially with the new mini suites

I've never heard of the "there are more upperclassmen" thing for CKC. There seems to be a lot of nice things about it, though. The one bad thing I've heard so far (besides the distance, because whether that's "bad" or not really depends on the individual) is how some buildings have bad (read: dirty, gross, and nasty) bathrooms. I've never actually been inside, though, so I can't really say anything.

I got an offer for a double at CKC, and I'm thrilled! :)

More upperclassmen than in a Unit, I mean.

yeah, Clark Kerr is definitly not as bad as i had heard. It seems like it has a resort type environment. I actually heard that sorority members like to hang out there..? i dont know if thats true though

There are frats and sororities across the street

Is there any parking at Clark Kerr? If so, how much is a permit and is it safe?
