idad's the man.

lespaulman - As a high school senior I was rejected at several Northeastern schools (including Harvard) that I thought I really wanted. In the end I was a sophomore transfer to the U of C and it proved the right place for me. You are going to be a tremendous asset to whatever college or university is lucky enough to have you enroll with them. The U of C is not going to have that chance.

I got deferred, not rejected.
It's extremely gut wrenching, especially when calculus is pwning my soul. Yes i said pwning, and its 12 AM almost so leave me alone, i need some shut eye :-p.

This article says nothing except that 41% of students were admitted.

People wanted to know the official numbers- I posted a link to the percentage admitted. What else do you want, dammit?

you done good. people are just punks. now what i would like is a profile of the ED class of 2010. anyone??? anyone???

I would like the percent rejected, so keep looking...

Get looking yourself buddy :-)

how does it matter?
U shd be 100% admitted .. thats what affects YOU and ME and any other individual

Yeah, i agree. Concentrate on being all that you can be.

People tend to care wayyy too much about what's happening to other people.
All the same, good luck to you all.

but at the same time, it is interesting to know how much more difficult this yr's class is compared to others.

for example, i know a kid who got a 1480 (1600) sat and is 3/350 in his class. he was deferred.

and yes i know what you are thiming - bad recs, essays, blah blah blah.....i cant give an answer to that since essays are subjective, but i know from what i have read that he is a really strong writer
