<p>Ds is a Junior College Prep Scholar and rcv'd an e-mail today from a QB school, indicating that his info came via QB. I am interested in how colleges market and am wondering whether others have received the same thing. In other words, was there really something about him that caught their eye (URM status?), or did every QB applicant get that e-mail?</p>
<p>Hmmm, more than 200 views but no comments. How 'bout this? Are there any Junior College Prep Scholarship winners who are getting e-mails from colleges? No is an acceptable answer. :)</p>

<p>My daughter got a lot of them last year from all over. I believe there is a place where you mark in QB apps, just like ACT or SAT apps that states that you are interested in receiving information from partnering schools. I know most QB applicants were always commenting when they received emails from various colleges and it seems like when one did, they all did.</p>

<p>Hello. I applied for the Questbridge College Prep for the summer courses. I got an e-mail that said I was invited to a meeting and it also said that by mid-May I should get an e-mail telling me if I got accepted or not. It’s May 20 and I haven’t received anything from Questbridge so I’m starting to worry. Has anyone received an acceptance email. <em>excuse my spelling, I’m rushing this</em></p>

<p>I did mark all 31 partner colleges on my application. Let’s see will all of them send me the emails or not.</p>
<p>I was selected as a 2012 College Prep Scholar and I have been getting many emails as well. I got the same on from UPenn and MIT plus on from Wellesley about applying for a travel grant to visit there in October. I did not mark all the colleges in my application. Now I fell stupid. I only marked a hand full. Oh well. The email thing is most likely a recruitment program.</p>

<p>I’m a CP scholar and I got a coupon from Carleton (they’ll reimburse the cost of my airplane ticket if I decide to visit) and a bunch of emails from other colleges. I’m also getting like 2 viewbooks a day from colleges that I did not check off. I only indicated strong interest in like five colleges, and ironically, those colleges (with the exception of Carleton) aren’t sending me anything… I think everyone gets those mails because there is no way that top colleges would be interested in me. Carleton’s an exception, but they’ve been sending me cool stuff even before Questbridge.</p>
<p>@Both Carleton and Davision are the newest Questbridge partner colleges. They are not even on the College Prep application form this year. I got the coupon too. I believe they sent it to everyone as the advertising or introducing purpose. @I was just confirmed to get the telementoring award from Amherst college. They will assign someone to answer all my questions such as Writing Essay,Finance Aids …for the next one year. I ask this program insteads of college summer school on my application and Questbridge did listen. @Did anyone get the email from MIT for their Talent Outreach program? They will have one of the current students to call me for anything I want to know about MIT.</p>
