Anyone else have this problem?

I took the ACT at Illinois Wesleyan University today, and the testing room was a lecture hall that has the cushioned seats with extremely small fold out desks. The desks were so small that I couldn't have my answer document and the question booklet on my desk at the same time. I had to hold one in my hand or lap and set the other on the desk. Sometimes the test booklet would fall off the desk if I moved it. I had to fumble around so much with my materials that I truly believe it affected my score. Then when my calculator was added to the mix in the math section, I had to fumble around w/my crap even more.

And as you guys know, there was hardly time for fumbling around on the science section.

I hate those kinds of desks so much. Anyone else think there should be minimum dimensions of desk sizes for test centers?

yeah, but not much you can do about it.

i'm totally with you guitarman89 :]
the place were i took some of my practice sat tests had tiny desks too. luckily it was only practice tests...

Never happened to me but after our test was over they had us do a survey on the answer sheet and one of em asked if we had enough desk space to hold all of our materials..

^ Yep. I put no for that one.

That's why it's best to try to take your ACT at a high school where the desks are normal.

^ So true.

But I had taken it at Wesleyan before and I got to use a very nice desk with a lot of space, but they didn't use the same room this time.

And I would've taken it at my high school if it was offered. This was the closest place.
