Anyone else having a crappy senior year?

My senior year has sucked so far. All of my classes suck because they're full of either idiot students, idiot teachers, or both. I've become even more depressed than I have been all summer. I almost dropped out a few weeks ago to switch to homeschooling because I couldn't handle it anymore. Normally, my academics are what keep my sane during school, but all my teachers this year are fxcking up the grades because they're idiots. Honestly, that's just the tip of the iceberg...

So, is anyone else having an incredibly crappy senior year so far?

i feel your pain, my senior year is also not going well

me neither sigh

Mine's going great so far... sorry. I have great teachers, good friends in all my classes, and I am doing great on tests and homework.

My classes aren't bad, and most of my teachers are awesome, but I don't see any of my friends because not many are in my classes. Then after school is nada friends due to insane amounts of homework, and I barely get to sleep, or talk to my boyfriend (long distance relationship). Weekends are busy with my horse, and I've actually found myself having to work over the weekend to catch up with school and prepare for the next weeks tests because there is barely any time to do it after school. It's just busy, I guess, and a bit lonesome.

^ I know what you mean. Though the year so far isn't bad, I just want to graduate and go to college. I'm a little lonely, as all of my friends and such have graduated already.

i've only been in school for a week. anyway they changed things around at my school - they took away ten minute break, which was between first and second block and made third block longer so they could fit in four lunches. I am a TA fourth block, and since i have third lunch it means that i only have half an hour of "learning" after lunch.

I'm in AP Lit right now but last year i was in Honors (we only have ine honors class and it is paired with APUSH and it's bascially american Lit. it's Weighted). IT was much more independent than AP Lit and i miss the honors caliber kids cuz my clas is dumb. Seriously my friend and i were giving a presentation and she used the word flippant and got strange looks from the class. AP GOV is the same way w/ lower caliber kids.

I feel like a honors snob, and i probably am.

Yeah I didn't get classes or lunch with a lot of my friends................and I don't see them after school and we all work. It is kind of off to a depressing start.

I thought I'd just put this in. I'm not a senior but my year isn't going too good. I have like not that many people in my lunches so they are boring and not that many people in my class so that's boring. Also my A.P. World History homework takes up a lot of my time. But I guess my year's okay.

Thanks you guys. It's good to know that not everyone is having a picture-perfect year (like everyone else in my class seems to be having so far). It makes me feel better :-)

I'm dropping a course (and a whole program that involves a huge research project that I was totally behind on), so once that's done with I'll be perfectly happy :) Of course, for now I'm in HELL, but with any luck it'll get better once I finish some college apps and the party season begins.

it'll get better second semester

this is depressing.

Yup...this year is a little crap, but NOTHING compared to the hell that was last year, certainly!

No worries, guys, we're all going to graduate soon and then high school lameness will matter not!

I like most of my classes, but I know how you feel. I just started school on Thursday so I'm getting over the depression of coming back to school. I can even feel the senioritis creeping in.

The school took away senior privileges too. Our school has a dress code that makes us wear uniforms, and seniors were allowed to have free dress on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Well, not anymore.

I like most of my classes just fine, but this year has been pretty bad anyway. In one of my classes I have to sit next to this guy who was a real jerk to me, I have absolutely no social life at all, and one of my friends is depressed and bulimic, so I'm really worried about her. But it's all good. It'll all work out eventually. I hope.

I hate high school. I used up the good science/math classes (AP Physics, Astronomy, Calc BC, etc) already, and I'm stuck with AP Chem (insanely boring grunt work) and MV Calc. My AP Lit teacher is a doctoral candidate from UChicago/NU gone mad, making English insanely hard. AP Psych is lots of grunt work, but it and AP World are all right. The only classes I actually like are gym and research.

High school is so much grunt work...especially classes like AP Chem which emphasize grunt work over thought.

Agree with analysis above.

Finished with AP math and science classes except an unbelievably boring stats ap class....

There's a lot of busy work, and I'm not allowed to see my hs counselor till God knows when, so I can't submit my applications.

I can't wait to be done with this.

It's always like this at the beginning of the year. It's just that the actual senior year is not as perfect as we've imagined before, that's why we feel so depressed and unbalenced. I feel the same way that the senior should be more fun, but unfortunately it's not so far........

So just keep up, guys!!!!!
We'll get over it soon!!!!

I figure it will eventually get better, once we all settle in. I guess I'm looking forward to second semester (apps will be done, closer to graduation, will have secured those first semester grades for the mid-report to be sent and it not to dreadful...)
