*sigh. I thought, for a while, that it was Barnard. Now I know it's Tufts. No shot, though. Anyone else head over heels for an absurd reach? /self pity rant

Vanderbilt. Dream school :(

Yeah, Wharton. My grades and scores are on the lower end of what they have, but I heard it has a 9% admissions rate ED. Whatever, we’ll see what happens.

I am completely in love with Northwestern. Tufts was my original love before i found northwestern

Gah I guess we’re all in the same boat. Worst part, at least for me, is hearing every day at my uber-competitive HS that people are using my dream school(s) as safeties. If it weren’t completely unreasonable I’m almost at the point of begging them not to apply to save some room for me :/

Story of my life. I’m one of those little girls who grew up hearing fairy tales about Harvard.

Amherst and Swarthmore. I love both, but they’re too much money and I’m not smart enough :(

Oh god, I’m not even THINKING about the money aspect now. That’s like a whole other issue, apart from my lackluster GPA, disappointing SAT, and boring ECs. :’(

Same here DancingK. My dad has worn Penn clothes every single day since I was a kid. From when I was a kid, I wanted to go where he went. At the time I had no idea how hard it was to get into a school like Penn. Now that I’m in high school I see that it actually takes effort and natural smarts to get in. I remember in 7th or 8th grade I thought getting a 4.0 in high school would be no problem, then I could go to Penn or Harvard or wherever easily. Then high school made me realize that I couldn’t have been more wrong.

Cornell… we’ll see what happens :(

Bowdoin…

Sent from my iPhone using CC

:( I dream of many schools, knowing that my chances are so slim.

Columbia… coming from a small, boring town, who wouldn’t love the Big Apple and the opportunity to spend 4 years there?

Im in love with Yale… Luckily for me though, I’m equally in love with Michigan and will be perfectly content to be in Ann Arbor for the next four years. :)

Georgetown… but alas…

yes, with Vanderbilt. my test scores are just not good enough. frustrating.

Brown University.
Washington University in St. Louis.

Luckily, I’m a sophomore and have time to work my a$$ off. God knows the journey will be hard. sigh

Princeton University. Working towards Duke.

^ditto on the sophomore thing

Ahhh, what I wouldn’t give to be a sophomore and be able to re-do all of it… seriously, though, as you can see, it really really REALLY blows to be a senior set up for rejections. Make the most of it.

I like Brown, and Emory, but I wouldn’t call them dream schools, I might actually have a shot at my dream school…(:
