anyone else incredibly tired of high school yet?

Odd. I want to get the hell out of damp, dreary (not to mention cold) New York and get myself into college in CA. I guess the grass will always be greener on the other side - or other time zones.

Oh, let's switch time zones. By the way, there's NO GRASS in New York, so it can't be greener. I lived in NY before I moved out to balmy CA. It's kinda boring here.

i want to go to LA!!!
sacramento is boring...

There's grass on my lawn :)

New York City is not the only habitable place in New York you know.

High School is getting boring. It's not that it's not fun, but it's getting boring. I want to meet new people, be more independent, and experience new things and environments.

Stanford and Cali await. How can I possibly not be excited to be out of high school?

44 school days left...

i can't wait for H.S. to be over............i live in NY not in tha city but like 30 min from it......but i can't wait to get out of new york.....graduation is in june..it seems so far away......can't wait for college i hope its nuttin like H.S.

luck seniors going to college in 35-45 or whatever or so days....mutters

ahh! I CAN'T WAIT!

school may be winding down, BUT MY SCHOOL IS UPPING THE ANTE.

51 days left...

Wow. I vaguely want high school to be over, but not so emphatically as some. I could really do without the schoolwork and studying they pile on 2nd semester, though (which is harder than 1st semester!). :) Also, scholarships and the like suck up more time than I spend on CC (talk about an addictive substance-CC is bad for your health!)

In any case, all the good pts people mentioned about being indpdt, meeting new people, new classes/profs... I could do with or without them right now. I'll be having a wonderful time no matter how college turns out. There's a good topic in the parents' forum about Italians and our stigma of staying with our parents in our 30's/independence at an early age. In any case, what I really want right now is to go on a two month backpacking trip to Europe! I want high school to be over, but not just to go off to college. I want it to be summer for my Europe rite of passage whee! So who wants to meet in Rome the day after graduation?!?! :) :) :)

Pshh… I started having senioritis as a freshman… Watching my brother graduate last year and get ready for college has made me extremely anxious. He decided to wait until the last minute to do everything… I applied to the same college he’s going to a couple of days ago, I don’t graduate until May… I just moved to this huge school from a small school in Small Town, USA. At first I thought it would be a lot harder, but now I’m struggling with my grades because I don’t focus enough… During classes I often find myself writing or drawing or even reading because I don’t find the classes challenging enough. All I can say right now is that I can’t wait until May 8th, which is my last day of High School; May 13th, which is the day I turn eighteen; and definitely can’t wait until May 19th, which is the day of my graduation!!! :D

Nice 5 year bump…

High school is fun.

The part that is exhausting is, for me, having to try to force myself into learning and functioning as a human during hours that I just don’t do well, like between 7 and 8:30 in the morning. No matter how much sleep I get.

Not to mention being stuck in classes that are necessary to get in a good college.

Oh. And the assignments that are all ridiculously crap, that are only assigned to help you feel accomplished. I don’t mind homework if I can see the meaning.

^^ same! I am not a morning person AT ALL so i need a lot to keep me up in the am but yeah the things i get for my hw sometimes is ridiculous although i take AP classes but school started two weeks ago and im already sick of the classes and the people in them and im only a junior =/ i just want the weekend to come back and not leave this time you know if its possible

High-school sucks!

I’m waiting to for december 15th for ED results. Even if i dont get in, im a lock at my #2 school. That day, Senioritis will hit me BIG TIMEEEEE

I’ve already checked out of HS mentally. I don’t care about school near as much as I used to; I’m ready to move on with my life.
