I read that my cal grant lowers it, but i got cal B meaning its only 1500 dollars. Would it completely remove it? Shouldn't they tell me it is being removed? Or might be removed so i can take up some freaking loans or something.

Remember, the Cal UG scholarship is replaced by the real grants and scholarships. Check your offer letter and see if you see grants/scholarships you haven't seen before. It might be your bear facts hasn't been updated to that point. I checked my offer letter and I was relieved the money was still there.

as i said. my offer went from 25k to 15k. do you think in time it will show up as something else? maybe they just like... took it off at 5 on friday and then took their weekend and will put it on on monday?
does yours still say UG scholarship? or is it replaced like you said?

Go to your offer letter and check. Bearfacts award summary for me was pushed down to 15k, but on the offer letter, it was still 25k. and the offer letter is always the most updated place to check

At this stage, I will say just relax and wait awhile. I "lost" 6k on Wednesday and now it's back up again. If you have private scholarships (ex: Regents), people in FinAid are probably still trying to secure a donor for you (I have seen this several times during the past three or so years). Good luck.

the amount sent to CARS for UG scholarship will appear $0.00 untill they know for sure that you're taking the minimum number of units. When they do, some time in August, they'll convert it to other grants and scholarships.

All the money is usually sent to cars, not to you directly. (except for some loans i think). Cars uses it to pay off your fees, tuitions, living expenses. After that, if any is left over, it is sent back to you. If you want to know what the money was used for.. i'm not sure where to check that
registration fee was about 4500 and whats included is listed on bearfacts somewhere. if you have res hall, that's probably another 4-6 thousand i think. So that about covers it for this semester.

Aw man, my financial aid, its all gone already. Class hasnt started and I'm broker than broke. My friend who got in to Berkeley, but decided to go to the local state school is rolling in left over money right now lol.
