<p>I stayed away from CC for an "entire" half day and wrote five essays!!!! I wrote the essays for Chicago (actually kind of fun and not stressful to write), the PLME statement for Brown (bearable), Physics statement for Brown (awful since I don't do anything in physics), and a few essays for Princeton. I wrote two 500-word essays that were supposed to be 250. Then I'm using my common app for the 500word essay. I can also use my short-answer from the Common App as another 250 word essay since that was 340 words (surprisingly). And then I need to write/ recycle another essay for the optional What else would you like to know section. For Harvard's "additional essay," I'll probably use of the princeton essays or write a new essay (on an academic experience) if i'm motivated enough tomorrow morning. .... And then there's the Amherst essay. I hate those essay prompts! </p>
<p>... I'm looking at the Penn application right now. I'm glad I'm not applying there! "You are writing a 350 page autobiography. Please submit page 217." or something like that. I told my dad about this essay, and he said: assuming that you write more as you grow older, each page of your autobiography will cover __ weeks in your life, and on page 217, you would write about something that happened the summer before seventh grade.... my dad is funny, kind of. </p>
<p>Anyway, it's late, I'm tired, and I'm blabbing. I feel better that you guys are going through the same thing and I'm not the only procrastinator. Good luck to all! How many of us will be at the post office on friday at 5:30?</p>

<p>It should be illegal for scholarship deadlines to be in December and January. I mean why would we spend our time and effort on a good scholarship app if we're trying to get INTO a college in the first place? And make all homework for seniors in December and January illegal too... no, better make it illegal for the whole senior year.</p>

<p>oboe, I feel your pain. Yale wants me to wait a total of about 6 months for what will probably be a rejection. In the mean time, I have so many other applications that are driving me crazy.</p>
