I don't know... I'm not saying I was a "sure thing" here, but I never realized Chapman was this competitive.

Did you guys get formally rejected, or were you just put on wait list?

I was rejected outright... waitlisted would have been great!!

Edited: Removed post. Sorry, wrong location.

ya Chapman has been getting more selective... especially with their new top of the line and selective film school i think they're looking to be up there with USC, that's what i've been hearing anyways. So expect admissions to be even more competitive next year. i still don't know how i got in lol

Their average GPA is 3.8 now. A friend with a 3.6 didn't get in this year and would have a few years ago. Last year and this year they had many more applicants and they over-enrolled for Fall 2006.

is that average unweighted GPA or weighted? cause I have a 3.96 weighted, and 3.69 unweighted

Wow, I didn't know they got that competitive... I'm a little amazed I got in, because GPA wise I'm quite below... although I've no clue what my weighted GPA is.

haha i agree kfrizzle (i was finishing my film app 20 minutes before i had to leave to drop it off at the campus haha and not the easy resume it was one of my essays :/, i'm still scratching my head over that one)

but ya i'm glad Chapman is getting more competitive, and more and more people know about it. I work at Washington Mutual and when I tell them I'm going to Chapman for film production they always say wow that's a really great school, or if I talk to people in film and tell them I'm going to Chapman they always comment on how many of their people come from Chapman. So I think Chapman's image is going to change a lot over the next few years and become even more competitive
