I went from planning on applying to 5 schoos to 9, out of fear of getting rejected

If youve seen my threads, I might not get into UCSB or UCI! Idk if I can complete a years worth of physics in 1 semester!

I’m a business major with a 3.69 GPA. If I get all A’s this semester it’ll increase to a 3.79 and after winter a 3.81 hopefully. I would be worried if I applied to business at UCI, UCLA and UCB. Instead I changed my major at UCLA to russian lang and lit + my personal statement #2 goes with that. I’m taking calc 1 and calc 2 so that already makes my transcript more legit than 50% of the LAC transfer. I’ll be shocked if I don’t get into UCLA.

@Alkalinium i just found out from UCSB that i shouldnt even try to apply because i havent done stats, and wont complete it till spring

I am going to apply for all 9 UC’s. I kind of accepted that I won’t get even accepted to one including UC Merced. So whatever happen, happens. :(.

yeah. I have too many units from when I was previously in university. That’s why it’s so important that I maintain my 4.0 GPA. I’m hoping that will make them overlook that.

@sonic23
I just realized that I can get into UCSB but not as my main major: ChemE. I can get into Bio/Chem as a premajor.

@Alkalinium thats good, it may not be your first choice but at least you would be accepted. For UCB im thinking of majoring in art history instead of history because ill have better chances.

You have got to be kidding! If you are not eligible for admission nobody is going to overlook that.

it might be more than just that. You need to meet with a counselor, a better counselor than the one you been working with. Someone from the transfer center at your CC. I’m not a UC Adcom so I can’t tell you how it will all play out. But you need to look carefully into the deadlines. Some courses have requirements that they’d be completed by the fall of the year you apply to transfer, others you just need to complete before you enroll at the UC. You need to find out how this affects physics and any other courses you might be missing. Then there is the whole issue of your TAG application. You have already submitted it and it lists the courses you plan to take. Now you’re planning on changing that list, right? You need to find out how you can modify the list you submitted, or if you are even allowed to change it.

Some of this you can find out for yourself by looking at the UC school websites. For the rest you need to contact the schools directly or work with a transfer counselor at your school.
