I was asked to be a reader in a few classes, after I submitted my essay, which would have gone down nice in an essay. I also remembered a few things I could have quoted professors saying about me.

My first essay was perfect, but my second essay could have used another paragraph pulling everything together.

i thought of something new for my second essay…unfortunately it was one day before the app was due so i didn’t think i’d have enough time to fully develop it (didn’t want to take the chance that they would push back the deadline), but oh well, i don’t care too much since i can always wait another year if i don’t get in now :]

My 2nd prompt, I wrote about how I always wanted to try cheerleading in high school but never tryed out for whatever reasons. And being in a community college gave me a chance to try out, which I did twice, and didn’t make it the first time but did after the 2nd, and how that taught me perseverance and persistence…

I wish I had wrote about my high school drama with friends, how I struggled with it and how I learned to control my emotions better (like for example, when I threw coffee at a guy I was ****ed at during my junior year)…and how I overcame losing friendships by meeting most of my friends at my community college and learning to appreciate the friendships I have dearly…

@lomkh I applied to UC Davis the night before it was due. It took me a few days to write the essays. I now realize that I had more experiences to write about for the 2nd essay than I thought.
