i cant keep up with the dude during bio 1al lab lecture. i am starting to wonder if its even worth going to anymore. tips?

Yeah, he does that. I think it’s definitely worth going to. Even if it’s fast, you should at least be getting little bits and pieces here and there. Better than not going at all IMO.

Is it being webcast this semester?

yeah

[UC Berkeley Webcasts | Video and Podcasts: Biology 1AL, 001](<a href=“Webcast and Legacy Course Capture | Research, Teaching, and Learning”>Webcast and Legacy Course Capture | Research, Teaching, and Learning)

I always thought he went too fast. Eventually I just webcasted it-- that way, you can pause, rewind, etc. I’d recommend it over lecture anytime.

Just read the lab manual and supplement the reading with webcasts if you don’t understand anything. Meighan never covers all he wants to during lectures so you have to read the lab manual anyway.

yep talks pretty fast. i say just sit there and not take notes. just understand what’s he saying and then go back and watch the webcast to take notes.

ok thanks- did you guys notice what time after the lec they upload it by? i have a tues lab and i dont want to not see the webcast in time for it.

I never found mike’s lecture too helpful…his reviews were okay I guess. But then again, I had Helen. And that was like gg.

in that case… tuesday lab was horrible.
umm yea… unless u have a tues night lab then u might not have time.

damn. ok then XD

don’t go or watch the webcasts, just memorize the whole lab manual. it works.

and you will probably hate meighan soon if you don’t already so yeah. just don’t go :)

meighan is actually pretty cool, but he seems like a jerk for some reason lol

probably because he’s a crazy nerdy dude. my friend told me he was literally jumping over and throwing the rolling chairs aside after a practical was over because someone was still writing and time was just called up.

srsly? I have tues lab too, and the webcast actually does go up same day as lecture–but u have to watch it pretty early or pretty late…:(
