For continuing students? Sons package not yet posted on Oasis. I suspect USC is late for everyone but just checking

Yeah, im still waiting. They had said June 15th but theyre obviously late. I called yesterday but couldn’t get through so I emailed to ask when the info will be posted–no reply yet.

waiting also.

Waiting as well.

i didnt apply for finaid, but i know a few ppl, at least 3, who are also waiting :)

Financial aid is up. Atleast mine is, today.

Also, what is the Estimated Federal Pell Grant and federal SEOG? Are those two added to the university grant or are they something else? i didn’t get those two last semester/year, so I’m wondering.

need-based aid given by the govt.

Yes, the F/A packages have been posted to OASIS.

Mine isn’t up yet.

Sons not up yet

im a transfer and haven’t gotten anything yet :(

I jsut gotten mine… it’s 3000 dollars lower than last years… I have no idea why because my parents’ income is alot lower and USC tuition is higher T_T

how are you guys’?

nothing as of today! I am also a transfer, called last week and they said within the next two weeks I will have it.

uyulove, mine is the same way.

Im an entering freshman and Ive heard from somewhere that USC lowers financial aid (especially grants) for continuing students; does this hold any truth?
If so, that would really kill us financially…the 4500 efc they assume I could pay is already too much (sadly, our leftover annual income after taxes/rent is under 5k). Im not able to take out parent loans and my mom just cant afford the 4500 a year (or more if it increases)…

^My D, a continuing student, just got her package, and it is slightly more than last year - enough to offset the increase in COA. So it is pretty much the same. Our financial info stayed about the same as well, so if your financial info stays the same you will likely get a similar package next year.

*Your Stafford loan limits will increase: $3,500 subs + $2,000 unsubs Freshman, $4,500 + $2,000 Sophomore year, and $5,500 + $2,000 Jr and Senior years.

so my financial aid page for the first time today actually shows up instead of telling me it will be up later this month, but the package only shows stafford loans and not all the stuff i got last year that constituted the vast majority of my aid. should i be worried about this or will it be updated later?

My bet is that it will be updated later. I suspect the financial aid office is getting a flood of phone calls about this right now.

I think Hawkwings has it exactly right.

Ok now i’m really nervous now because I haven’t heard from financial aid still and I’m going to be a senior. If I don’t get enough aid… I’m afraid I’ll have to take a leave of absence too. Oh goodness. Has anyone else still not hear back?
