Anyone else with interesting stories about their interviews?

I had my interview today. The interviw itself was normal and went well… but the beginning of it was unexpected. lol. I arrived at Starbucks about 20min. early. My interviewer got some coffee and took a minute or two to get settled with his printout of questions. During this time, a random guy walks up to us holding a camera. I’m thinking to myself, “What the hell is going on?” He starts talking, saying that he’s from a nearby church and he’s taping about 30sec snippets of people talking about what’s necessary for a healthy relationship, whether this be friendship or dating. And i can’t help but wondering, “Does this guy think that we’re gay?” lol. My interviewer says that he has no problem getting interviewed and of course, I agree; I don’t want to seem stuck-up. My interviewer mentioned communication as necessary, while i talked about honesty and taking that leap-of-faith to trust someone. I was definitely ticked off that this was happening, but afterwards I realized that it loosened me up a little. So i had two interviews today lol.

Anybody else with unexpected interview stories?

I was stood up and ended up sitting at the coffee shop for 3 hours… not fun.

My interviewer happened to be from the class of '61. The open curriculum wasn’t even brought about until '69, so we didn’t really have very much Brown specific stuff to talk about. He said back in the early '60s, Brown had just about the most stringent requirements out there, and was absolutely dominated by fraternities… so it was a pretty different place back then lol, but he was a very nice guy, and we had a very nice, if un-Brown-related, conversation.

<< … >> … <> i was expecting funny happy stories. that’s just downright depressing. At least you got into Brown though. Congratulations TheBOfLiving!!!

That’s rough, being stood up by your interviewer, I’m very sorry. But not that sorry because you got accepted! (congrats)
