hey guys,

i really want to take a Reading&Composition course the first semester, but my top 2 choices are filled up. How much chance do I have if i put myself on the waitlist?

and as i was searching for other possibilities, has anybody taken Raisch J. as a GSI? can't find him on ratemyprofessors.
or if anyone's taken Ben Cullen.. or Ruth Baldwin..

thanks!

You should probably look at the course description for each of the courses - not only are they taught by different people, they also have completely different focus subjects. Although they’re all under Comp Lit, and fulfill the reading and comp requirement, you should pick the one that’s in the most interesting subject. Raisch is teaching R1A:5, Lost in a Book. Here’s a list of all the R1A and R1B classes, with descriptions: [Comparative Literature 2011 Fall Courses](<a href=“Comparative Literature”>Comparative Literature)

Sorry if you already knew all of that, but I always hear people talk about courses with the same department name as if they’re about the same subject manner, and only taught by different professors. The Comp Lit R1A classes are all very unique, taught by different professors with different focuses.
