what he said ^

Sure.

I wrote one for NaNoWriMo 2009 and am currently writing the first part of my series and a stand-alone. Only writing one for publishing at the moment though.

I’ve tried. I’ve started quite a few stories only to not finish them. I tend to jump around a lot, get distracted, and most of the time I just don’t have the time so everything ends up just getting put in the back of my mind. To finish a novel is one of my goals, though.

I feel that, besides a few prodigies throughout history, writing a good novel requires life experience. Most “novels” penned by high schoolers are laughable.

I have too many plot bunnies.

I tried, many times. Quit em all, I’m too busy.

My friend’s publishing one right now.
But I haven’t personally.

I published a children’s book lol…if that counts.

BUt yeah, writing a novel is certainly one of my life goals :)

I’m writing a novel now =)

It’s kinda an “Alternate Universe” story. Humans (no ninjas or monster or anything), but different world.

I’ve written several pieces of short fiction, but haven’t quite attempted a novel yet. I’d like to write one some day, though.

My current short story keeps expanding, so we’ll see–I think it’ll probably end up a novella at this rate.

I had a feeling some CC’er’s would definitely be interested in writing a novel.

Anyone ever hear of an 18 year-old-ish BOY writing a novel? I’ve only found like one guy who wrote the book Twelve or something like that. The reviews are awful.

ps.

Rixs, really? That’s amazing.

@ RileyJohn: I think Christopher Paolini was only about 18 or 19 when he published “Eragon”. It went on to become a bestseller. So yeah, there are definitely some talented teen writers out there.

I think Christoper Paolini was 15 when he started writing Eragon, but it was officially published when he was 17 or 18.

I’ve been trying to write a novel since I was in 6th grade. I just love writing ^.^

A bestseller doesn’t mean it’s a well-written book.

See: movie blockbuster.

Quoted for truth.

And what the hell is a plot bunny?

And Swordbird was published by a girl who was only about 13 at the time. It’s rare, but can be done.

Oh, and I meant to ask, have any of you had any short stories published? That’s a more reasonable place to start.
