Anyone excited for Half-Blood Prince?

HELL YESSSSSSSSSSS!!! ooooooooooooooh

My books have literally disintegrated =/. I have no idea where books 1 through 4 went. 6 and 7 can be found in small clusters of pages. 5 is the only fully intact book. All of them are missing their cover art.

I think my library has the full collection though.

= 4 years old when I first read the Philosopher’s Stone.

i was 5 10char

?

That was only because of the movies?

And I agree the HP movies need to be longer. LotR did great with a much harder book, why can’t HP do the same?

Yeah I don’t think fans, their main audience anyway, would really mind if it was a 3 hour movie as opposed to 2 and a half. I think the third movie glossed over some things that might bit a wee important. Did I miss it or did they not explain who gave Harry the Firebolt, as well as who created the Marauder’s Map?

I actually liked the LotR movies a little better than the books.

I read the entire book in two sittings and got really dehydrated. Soon after I lost vision for literally a few minutes.

I believe the Firebolt was included at the very end, almost as a segue to the closing credits.

Oh my god, me too. The only books I can actually find are 1,5,6 and 7. I have NO CLUE where 2,3 and 4 went :S
My 7th book is still in good condition though =)

Favourite characters?
Mine’s Neville
and actually, I saw some pictures, and I believe Cormac McLaggen (Hermione’s date for the Slug Club parties) is going to be a favourite as well  hahaha
I just hope the movie is good. Are they going to bring back Dobby?

My family has multiple copies of each book.

i’ve completely forgotten what happened in the 6th hp book. lol its been a while since i’ve read it

To me, HP = Hewlett Packard

^ Well that was random =)

No it wasn’t. People keep throwing “HP” around and it’s really annoying.

I only watched the first three movies and I thought the books were a lot better (yea I know most books are, but some, like Gone With the Wind, are comparable)…and I thought this wasn’t even comparable.

YAAAAAAAAAA! Going at midnight the night it opens :)

The problem with the movies is that they don’t flow. It almost seems like a highlight reel the way they jump from scene to scene trying to get everything in.

Me and my friend came up with that same conclusion. Except… We liked the first three books, and then we read Breaking Dawn… and we hated it.

But seriously… Idk why the WB people are such asses. They only moved it so that they could ‘make more money’.

i have no idea where my copies of 1 and 3 are :frowning: i only have the french versions, which i can’t read (my mom was a little gung-ho on the french thing. she thinks in a year i should be reading french HP)

lol.

Oh… and just for clarification…

Twilight was not the reason that Harry Potter moved.

WB decided to move it to the summer, because they said more people would watch it in the summer and that the DVD release time would be around Christmas.

Twilight just took the opportunity to move up. =/
