Anyone familiar with b-school (finance) prereq/AP credit stuff?

Hi all...I'm hoping to take Fin340 at some point but the prereqs are confusing. I'm an engineering student just getting a minor in finance, so I'm really unfamiliar with the b-school and can't seem to find clear info online...

Fin340 has Econ1011 has these prereqs: MATH 128 or 132, ACCT 2610, MEC 290 or ECON 1011, and completion or concurrent enrollment in QBA 121.

If I took AP Micro in high school and got a 4 (which I know gets you placement into Advanced Econ), will that count as filling the prereq? Also, for QBA 121, will ESE326 (prob&stat for engineers) count?

I sent off another email to one of the student service advisors but I wasn't even really sure who to send it to (the first time around I never heard back so I'm guessing that wasn't the right place lol) and trying to map out next semesters schedule now that courses are up...

Thanks!

From the B-School’s website under “majors&minors”…

That seems to answer your questions, but I’d recommend that you just walk into the undergrad advising office in the b-school one day this week. I’m sure they have walk-in hours like all the other advising offices.

ESE 326 is more a substitute for QBA 120, not 121. That said, if you get an A in 326 you’ll probably be fine (i.e. you are good at probability/statistics). Math493/494/Econ413 roughly approximate QBA 121.
You should be fine on econ.
340 is mostly self containing in that you don’t need to know a lot from other courses.

^Although for the minor you’ll have to take the econ class.
