Or am I the only person on CC who has this problem, considering most of you are freaky overacheivers?

I can't seem to find anything that remotely resembles a dream school for me. I really don't want to move to the East Coast, and there aren't a whole lot of small schools on the West Coast. And I'm not Stanford-level material either. >____>;

This is clearly not the problem of most on CC who have lists that are unrealistic, but it is a problem for some, and all should have a few reaches if they like the schools.

The thing is, safety doesn't automatically have to mean "school I really don't want to go to but I'm applying anyway because I'm afraid I won't get into my top choice" and reaches don't have to mean "DREAM SCHOOL." My dream school/favorite college at the time was a safety for me.

Looking back, I might have applied to more reach LACs -- Swarthmore, Amherst, Bowdoin, Wellesley, Haverford, Pomona, Pitzer, Claremont McKenna...like that. If you want to stay on the west coast I third the suggestion of the Claremont Colleges.
