I live SOOO close, and yet, people from Pittsburg are getting it before I do. One of my friends who lives about 5 miles from where I live got hers! What is going on here? Did the rest of the Chicagoans receive theirs as well? I just can't imagine mail taking more than 1 day to travel 30 miles. Doesn't have anything to do with the decsion, right?

i dont think so. according to last year's boards, decisions were received quite randomly.

Remember this is the Christmas rush season. The post office is innundated with all kinds of letters and parcels.

Hope those 'dillos are on 'roids so the envelopes comes quickly ... this last week is just torture!

Oh geez, I looked in my box and there was a lone envelope with my name on it...

My bank statement, thank the Lord!

But this means that I have to wait around all weekend, it's killing me.

so the letter is from the US Post Office and not fedex, dhl, whatever?

USPS was how mine was sent.

Well, considering things in perspective:

My U of C acceptance letter came in 1 day. My MIT deferral took a week, and was actually sent back to MIT and resent.

For you Chicago people, you have no excuse. Just drive down there and ask the guys at Rosenwald.

We're not allowed to find out in person. Otherwise, I certainly would have.

Got mine today (the good one). Waiting for MIT's deferral killed me this week; this is just what the dr. ordered.

I still haven't gotten it yet. I, too, live about 30 miles away. It's been 2 days, and the mail doesn't come on Sunday.

The suspense is killing me. Everyone that has applied from my school has gotten their letters, and they've all been deferred.
