I'm looking at DePaul loop campus for business in Chicago!

Does any go where?

I'm looking for some honest opinions about it?

What's it like going to college in a large city for college? Where's the best place to live -Lincoln Park? Also is DePaul good at helping students find part time jobs in the city?

I don’t go to DePaul, but I have a friend who does. She’s a freshman there, and LOVES it. She’s your average Sue, intellectually, socially, etc. She went to a decently rigourous private boarding/day school (the school I go to now). She works really hard.

She says that parties are kind of weird, because she doesn’t know anyone and there’s a ton of people. She has met some cute boy, though seeking him out again was an adventure. On the same note, it’s not hard to make friends because there are so many people.

It’s apparently very easy to switch majors; she’s done it every other day for the past semester. She’s switched from math, to english, to history, to… pretty much everything you can switch. She still has no idea what she wants to do.

It’s also apparnetly very easy to get a train ticket and go home on weekends (she lives in Ohio); they cost $1 if you plan your trip at least a week ahead, a tad more if it’s only a few days ahead.

Other than that, I can’t help you much…

Thanks…

What forum did this thread get moved to ?

Im hoping to go to Depaul to get my masters in accounting. Anyone have any ideas about admissions standards? GMAT scores? What about financial aid? Even for a year, this place is going to be really expensive for me, especially since I am from out of state. Any suggestions on grad student housing? I want to be able to make friends, but not be stuck with a bunch of immature kids who want to drink all night long.
