DePaul??

Any comments, opinions on DePaul?

I've heard good things about the business school, which is located right in the middle of the loop (a great spot for internships).

Both campuses have great locations. The size is reasonable. I'd say that it's worth looking at.

Yah, the DePaul campus in Lincoln Park is a snazzy location.

Somebody told me they have a great theater/theater tech program.... I guess it depends what you're interested in doing.

I think DePaul would make a great school for somebody who is looking to integrate a big city into his or her college experience in a major way.

I'm thinking of applying there. it seems like a pretty neat place, and I definately want the big-city atmosphere.

Not a great school by CC standards, but you will likely be getting a much better education there than crappy state schools. I mean u will probably fare better at UIUC, but thats because UIUC is a better school than depaul. But if your highschool stats arent stellar at all, and it is a good match school, it is definitely a great school to go to if its the best you can get into.

I was accepted into the DePaul Honors program and have a few friends that will be attending this fall (all out of state students). It is VERY integrated into the city. When I went to visit, I got off at the Lincoln Park El stop and was already in the middle of campus. The dorms are really nice too (well, the newer ones) and so were the facilities that I saw. I went for an accepted students program one weekend and got a sense that it is still mainly a commuter school. Finding lunch on campus was miserable that Saturday afternoon :(. As far as academics, I was advised that the business and theatre programs are great, but most of the other programs are average at best. In the end, I was told that I would be better off elsewhere (financially and academically). That's just me though, so if you're interested in DePaul at least check it out.

Thx. This is good info.
