Did anyone go to the early admit weekend and care to share your impressions? We were unable to go due to a conflict.
I attended both Friday and Saturday events with my D. We really enjoyed it! The professors and student ambassadors were wonderful. We especially enjoyed hearing the president’s speech and his philosophy. We ate at the dining hall. The food was great with so many choices (even with no meat options because it was Friday during lent). We attended the special info session for Honors students, which helped to give more insight into the program. My daughter is now excited about being in the Honors program instead of being apprehensive about it. We went to the pep rally and basketball game on Saturday. Fun!!! There is lots of school spirit at PC and we got caught up in it ourselves. Not sure if she’ll be attending, since we’re still waiting on a few more acceptances, but the weekend certainly helped us to appreciate the school. I recommend you attend if they have another one.
Good to hear. My daughter also got into the honors program and is apprehensive as well.
My daughter is a freshman at PC in the honors program and is very happy she chose to attend PC. She really likes the smaller class size of the honor courses and gets to know her professors. She attends honor and non honor classes so these kids are not isolated from the rest of the students.
I highly recommend attending A day in Friartown, which is what sold my daughter on PC. They match your child up with a current student that you child shadows for the day. My daughter was with a student in her major who also was in the honors program.
