Just wondering, cuz I think I want to appeal my rejection to UC Berkeley and I thought that there's nothing to lose anyway. So, might worth a try...

Nothing to lose, but don't hope for much. Berkeley's decisions are very hard to appeal, as they want "significant new information."

what is considered "significant"?

and, just wondering. let's say i'm currently accepted by USC which tells me to reply back to them by may 1. then i want to appeal to berkeley, in which they said that they are not going to tell the decision until after may 1. so what should i do?

can i just pay the enrollment fee to USC, tell them i wanna go there, while secretly waiting for UCB to give me their decision? and IF i am accepted by UCB through the appeal, then is it possible to tell USC that i don't want to go there anymore because i want to enroll to UCB? (don't talk about the enrollment fee, cuz i know it's non-refundable)

Like if you won the nobel peace prize.
