we had a guest speaker who was an oral and max surgeon (he used to be a dentist) and he said that when he was in a group with these two other neurosurgeons, ALL they talked to each other was MONEY. 99% of the time, they complained that they weren't getting enough money, and he asked them, how much would be enough, and they didn't respond. so he quit, and open his own practice here in ithaca, and couldn't be happier since.

quynh2007, your oral/ max surgeon guest speaker did the right thing if in his old group practice almost all the conversations between/among the partners are bickering about money. Hope it was mostly the two neurosurgeons and the guest speaker did not get too involved, b/c From your post, I couldn't tell if only the two talked about money constantly or all three did it, which would really be bad since then they wouldn't have any time to talk about real business and how they can serve the customers, defeating the purpose of their career in medicine, unless their purpose is only making as much money as they can. So i guess the point is not to join group practices? or pick the right partners to work with like real friends??
