I've already gotten Harvard's and Princeton's, but I'm still waiting for Stanford's.... which is weird since H and P decisions came out LATER than Stanford's, AND they're on the east coast.

Also, on an unrelated note - does Stanford help finance the admitted students' days/weekend?

Nikkor, I think there will be something about how to request a travel voucher in your admitted student packet, along with many other details about Admit Weekend.

Stanford mailed their packages Friday, I think.
I hope they help with travel stuff because I really need it, or I can’t visit, and Stanford is the school I really want to visit.

I just received my package today. I’ve read through most of the materials but I couldn’t find any information pertaining to Stanford financing travel costs. Like many of you, I also need help financing the trip.

Hmmm. Was the Admit Weekend Handbook in the package? Maybe that was where I saw that information, and maybe that is sent separately. But in any case, you might call the Admissions Office next week and ask. I’m pretty sure I heard some students at last year’s Admit Weekend say that they received vouchers for air travel. There may be some form you need to submit indicating that it would be a hardship for you to attend without assistance.Hope everyone can make it!!

I got mine, since it was FedEx-ed (I live internationally). It had the admit weekend brochure, official letter of acceptance, invitation of parents to admit weekend, a really nice positive message, a sticker of some sort (I haven’t entirely figured out what it is…) and one other sheet with important dates or something close to that.

The plastic thingy is a “window cling” that can be easily applied to the window of your car or your parent’s car, if they’re into that kind of thing. ;)

One of your classmates says that this year they are notifying students by email re: awards of travel grants, so you might check your email over the next couple of days. If you don’t receive one and believe you’re eligible for a grant, contact admissions by phone.
