Hey!

I am hoping to attend UTD. I am also an IB student and I am expecting to get the IB diploma. Straight from UTD website…

“In accordance with Texas Education Code 51.968, The University of Texas at Dallas will award undergraduate course credit for achieving the required IB examination scores below. Students who have earned an International Baccalaureate Diploma and present IB exam scores of 4 or higher should consult an academic advisor to review credit application”

Some of the IB credit thresholds are higher than a 4 but according to this law it sounds like they will still give you credit? Anyone have experience with this?

For example, IB Chem HL needs a 6 to get 8 credits. If I get a 4 will and earn IB diploma will I still get 8 credits?

I emailed and called UTD but they haven’t been helpful, so if someone has personal experience please let me know.

Sorry, I have no experience with IB credits. Maybe if you post this on the UTD reddit forum, current students could answer.

I’m not experienced with IB credit either. But my daughter is using AP credit.

If so - reading this like I do the AP page - I do not think you will get credit for a score below what is outlined in the chart.
