Hi.
I’m thinking about attending Portland State for a bachelors in (double major) Computer Engineering and Physics. Only for a bachelors though, I’d transfer out to some other college afterward for a Masters.
Does anyone have experience with Portland State? Would it be a good university for this? I’ve got family that live right by there so housing would be taken care of for me (and free).
I was also thinking about attending OSU, but I like Portland more than Corvallis. I heard that for undergraduate school, it doesn’t matter where your degree came from (as long as you did good in school) if you’re going to attend graduate school.
PSU would definitely be cheaper, considering Pell Grant (I qualify) would pay for my tuition and my housing is free (would be living with grandparents), plus I’d be local to everything I want to be near. I’d be getting in-state tuition, if that’s not clear.
Also I may be interested in studying abroad sometime in the next couple years, and I heard PSU has a great program for that.
What is it like going to PSU?
