Anyone heard from Cal Poly Pomona yet?

Ok. Thanks for the info. Ill get back to you guys tomorrow night :slight_smile: Have a great day and try to stay calm :slight_smile: You guys all seem like you deserve to get in so don’t give up :D

@chiffv My question would be about the “Referred to Impacted Plan” for transfers. When we will here info about our status. I’m an electrical engineering major waiting for Cal Poly decision.

^ take a look at this guy killing hopes

Im a transfer student, my status is still “referred to impacted plans”. Havent received any email from them. Does this mean im denied?

Drag, I’m also a transfer EE and referred to impacted plan. What’s your GPA/classes finished?

Oh and I wonder if they’re at least planning to post on their facebook or send out a mass e-mail to those that are still waiting … Cause like @millie13, I also applied to an unimpacted program (Comm), and am about to committ to other options.

Just dropped by the office to confirm some things, I was told if I am still referred to impacted plan with no email about waitlist that i should be receiving a denial the second week of june. There is a small chance that if all the waitlisted people get in and there are spots left we can get an offer. Thats the facts guys. Make plans with the schools that said yes. This is my last post on this forum. This should clear up any misunderstandings that are going on above. Not the greatest news but it is accurate.

Cool so in conclusion this is what I learned about this year applying to CPP:

Be local, as in live RIGHT next to the school

Once you have 1, have a around a 2.6-2.9 gpa (the higher you have though the longer you will have to wait so keep that gpa low and meet ONLY minimum requirements to apply!)

If this hasn’t get you in yet, make sure that you are FTF so that way you can get on the waitlist. (Waitlist doesn’t exist for transfers).

Be an IMPACTED major, that way you wont see application received but instead you’ll see “referred to impact plan”. yay

Most importantly, pay your application fee and ON time, that way CPP will be able to make you a temporary account that will display APP received for 6 months+. The goal here is to NOT deny you so that way you can’t file an appeal, less work for admins.

Consider your application fee as a donation, look into other schools.

Thanks CPP, I never try to trust my gut feeling but I definitely should have during October.

@thenakedbean
Did they indicate if this applies to freshmen, transfers, or both?

Did any transfer students get waitlisted?

well, i got an email from pomona saying that an item on my to-do list was waived (they wanted an explanation on my 0 student income). super late, i already asked them about this months ago and they said don’t worry about it.

it also said i may have received an email yesterday from them requesting this, but i never got it.

no idea what this means, but at least i know they have the right email.

At least you got an email from them. I got absolutely nothing from them in the 7 months since I applied.

@op9no2 I got the same thing you did about it being waived. I thought it was weird so I checked my status and was admitted.

P.s. I received that email today.

@Pmg392

oh wow, congrats! mine is still at “application received”, but your situation has given me a little hope. are you a transfer as well?

i got the email around 3pm today.

(also, did you receive an email from them yesterday? they said i may have received one yesterday, but i never got anything prior to this)

@op9no2
Thanks. I am a local transfer student from mt sac and applied for a non impacted major. I didn’t receive an email yesterday. I just received emails today. I received the one about income verification and the admission email a few hours later. Good luck. Hope you get in.

My friend got a denial email Saturday night for mechanical engineering.

@valdez
Was he a FTF or Transfer?
His stats?

He is a transfer student. I don’t know his gpa but I think he had the “golden 4” completed.

Ah ok, because im a FTF still waiting

Has there been anyone here who has been accepted off the waitlist?
