And i am waiting for the admission of fall 2013.

Here is the question…

If I get accepted and did not finish the Eng critical thinking course by end of spring semester,
Can I still take this course over the summer and still get accepted?

Anyone experiend or do know someone in this situation?
Reply please. Thx!

From my understanding…You have to complete all of the “Golden Four” (Critical Thinking is one of these) before the end of the Spring semester, in order to be accepted into a impacted major. I would defiantly contact admissions to find out :(

“Hello applicants, if you have been placed on our waitlist, your admission status at Cal Poly Pomona will continue to display “Application Received” at this time. If additional spaces open for fall, we will admit students on our waitlist on a space available basis.”

I don’t know why the admissions office would resort to facebook to tell applicants that “application received” equates to a waitlist. Why can’t they tell you straight out on the status. It’s not like applicants are obliged to check facebook as part of the admissions process. I really think the admin at CPP has been highly disorganized and disrespectful of highly qualified applicants over the years. This thread is years old but the complaints are still the same. I really hope this doesn’t discourage everyone. Fortunately, the poor administration is not at all reflective of my academic experience going to CPP.

I maybe wrong but my understanding is that there isn’t a true “waitlist” for transfer students. If you’re a FTF there is a waitlist.

My 2 of my friends applied to an impacted major (mech E) and he got a denial email. If you’re a transfer and it still says “referred to impacted plan” that’s like being on a waitlist. If spots open up they’ll admit the students that have this status.

Just got “denied, csu eligible” update on bronco direct (or the new site that is a temporary replacement). I’m a transfer and had a 3.5. Good Luck to everyone still in the running.

denied as well, same way as compsciguy91 and drugon.

needless to say, this entire admissions process that CPP has put us through made me lose all respect for the school. it is embarrassing how badly they handled it. nobody answers their phone or e-mails at crucial times, and their facebook resorts to deleting posts pointing this out. between all that, there are a million different answers we got for each person who actually succeeded in contacting their office. i’m sure the academics at CPP are great, which is why we are interested in the school, but the administration is terrible from my experience… and from this thread, it seems like it has been terrible for a few years now.

i didn’t really want to live in pomona anyway…

good luck to everyone who endured this process with me! looks like CSULB is the school for me! :)

denied too. 3.12 ME. Im not even sure if im disappointed lol. Either way, i got waitlisted at csulb and uci, so another month of waiting for me. Good luck to all. At least i can stop checking this forum

@op9no2

you wouldve hated living in pomona. I wouldve hated driving there.

Denied, 3.04 COMM major. Like @op9no2, I don’t really care as much cause the admissions weren’t on top of everything–made me lose the interest I had for the school. Time to decide between the great schools we got into you guys! Good luck with everything! (:

Denied - 2.889 Chemistry Major - Looks like Pomona finally decided to crap or get off the pot. I really wish they would have sent this to me months ago. What crapy admissions!
