Anyone heard from Cal Poly Pomona yet?

Congrats to all you guys

This doesn’t sound to good for me though =/

I got a Provisional Admit too!

Does anyone know anything about Pomona’s architecture program, such as class size, facilities, etc?

My app keeps saying “application incomplete”… Should I be worried?

i think everyones says that, because all of us have to turn in our final transcript eventually.

It just changed to “eligible for consideration”. Is that a good sign?

where did it say that?

It said it on the Application Status section. Honestly, is this a good sign? I’m sorry I’m panicing about college. :/

Mine says " Eligible for Consideration" to

Do you think my major (English) would lower my chances of getting in because it’s a polytechnic school?

@Cestmavie honestly i dont know, you should call them tommorow and ask them.

Im referring to your eligible for consideration post.

I just googled “Eligible for Consideration” and the CPP site said “Based on information you supplied on your application, you have met the eligibility requirements for admission to the California State University. However, because our campus is impacted for First-time Freshmen, we will rank order applications in this category and make a final decision and notify you by April 2005.” Although this was from a few years back it probably means we will have to wait another month :(

^ My son’s status went from “Application Received” to “Impacted Major CSU eligible” to “Provisional Admit”.

I think the eligible thing just means that they reviewed your app and verified that you are CSU eligible and now they will rank the apps and choose who to offer admission to. Being eligible is definitely a good thing though!

I called today, because I had not heard anything and I was worrying. The man told me that they had just started sending notifications out, and that they were filling in the spots as they had room.

Cest - read my previous post, it might give you a little more info on it

I’m guessing that those of you who had a status change are first time freshmen and not transfers?

I’m not sure if it would still apply to now. It was 5 years ago, after all. But then at the same time there were a lot of applicants, so the spots are probably filling up fast. I wonder who they give priority too though?

You might be right, but classes are still impacted so who knows.

I probably should have put accounting as my intended major, I might have gotten in. But instead I chose industrial engineering which probably gets more applicants =/

I put down…Business Admin as my major here. Is business Admin good at this school :)?

@Banana_Boi: Don’t sweat it! I hope you get in! So by “impacted majors” they mean that they have had a lot of applicants, thus making the admission a little bit tougher? Because if that’s the case, thank GOD I applied as an English major. I doubt they have many of those.

If the EPT/ELM tests are necessary, do they have to be TAKEN by May 5th, or have the results by May 5th?
