Anyone heard from UW yet?

Has anyone been admitted yet? Seems that in years past, exceptional (or so we thought) students began hearing after Dec. 1.

Any news out there?

Transfer, freshman?

Freshmen.

Acceptances used to start Dec. 1. There were very few, but usually exceptionally strong applicants. I hadn’t seen anything yet this year. Not sure if the UW stopped mailing acceptances this early, or simply that people weren’t posting.

I believe they stopped rolling admission. Now they start sending out letters in batches beginning in March (I believe).

Decisions come out between March 15-31st now. I feel for all the applicants - when I applied for '09-'10 I got my letter first week of January!

It sucks that we have to wait until March 15 at the EARLIEST. At my school, about 80% of the grade knows where they’re going haha I love being up in the air while everyone else is already making their plans. (can anyone smell the sarcasm?) On other topics, they said to periodically check my e-mail. When will I most likely get the account that track your application?

someone was admitted to UW Bothwell! he had his acceptance letter on instagram

Yep. And the thing is that most likely you have to send them about a $100 non-refundable fee to “secure” your space. So if you later get admitted into UW Seattle and choose to go there, you can say “bye” to your fee :)

Seems that in years past, exceptional (or so we thought) students began hearing after Dec. 1.

Incorrect. As previously mentioned, UW no longer does rolling admissions. They collect them all and send out acceptances for all applicants during the same period.

Except for athletes

=( merp so sad… Idk why i am starting to like university of washington more and more everyday…now just gotta come up with a plan to pay for it!!!
