Did anyone receive acceptance letters?

Depends on what term you applied for. Fall 2010? It seems a little early for them to be sending out decisions already since I knew people back in HS who didn’t hear back until April. I could be wrong though.

Yes. Fall 2010

I don’t think so…usually people start hearing from UW in January, at the earliest, MAYBE late December…my memory is fuzzy here.

I think you are right sumzup. The other recent thread in here talking about our acceptance letters are for winter 2010 transfers.

The earliest you can hear is after Dec. 1. A VERY small percentage of “slam dunks” hear at that time (totally guessing, but less than 10%-maybe 5%-maybe less?) during Dec. Then the letters kind of gently roll in (NOT rolling admissions, however) during Jan., Feb, March. The LARGE majority of kids find out at the end of March, or beginning of April. At least that is what history says…

I’m glad someone posted this because I was just about to ask the same question, LOL. Looks like I have a wait ahead of me . . . (I’m aiming for Fall 2010.)

Two from our HS were just admitted for fall 2010.

^^

When did they apply? Were they the top of the top?

Interesting, tobeducated. I stand corrected. I have NEVER heard of anyone being admitted prior to their priority deadline of Dec. 1. In fact, in years past, the UW website has stated that earliest admissions are not sent out until after that deadline (dec 1). However, in looking around the website, I do not see that specific information anymore…

I’m curious–any chance those two early admits were either recruited athletes or other special circumstances?

The only facts I know is that the UW has rolling admissions, many locals filled out the online forms as soon as they were available in early September, and some have been accepted.
