Anyone heard of this phenomenon?

I was messing around w/ the Counselor-o-matic, & it converts new SAT scores to old ones by using this formula

-Math Score
-(1/2)(Reading+Writing Score)

So for example, I got 790M, 600R, 680W --> 2070
On the conversion scale, it gave me a 1430.

A friend of mine got 650M, 800R, 740W --> 2200
On the conversion scale, it gave him a 1420.

Is there any chance that it will be considered in any way in this context, or does this sound like a joke to you (sounds like a joke to me!)

joke it's either
math plus reading

or math plus reading plus writing /1.5
